Independent Research Project
For my independent research project, I chose to explore how GPs can work with graphic designers to communicate effectively with their patients. My proposal, evaluation and outcomes used simple, geometric inspired layouts inspired by the practical, approachable branding of the NHS as a whole.

For the proposal and evaluation, I explored hand-sewn bindings, using a range of different threads to make a pocket and pull out insert. I also applied coptic binding to my evaluation. For my outcomes, I used wiro-binding to create a style guide for in-house communications. This is a common binding found in NHS office environments. I also completed a range of posters and leaflets that could be adapted and used by GP practices up and down the country.
